Happy holidays captains!

I apologize for the gap in posts over the last month. Between travel and sickness I have not been keeping all of you up to date.

To make up for this, every day this week will have a blog post to catch you all up as we go into the holidays. I hope you enjoy it.

So where are we at?

Ship Cards

Every day this week I will release blog posts showing off different factions ship cards in their entirety. Because not all ship cards are done in the final format I will be using the internal playtest copies so they will not look as shiny as the final version. That being said you will still get to see every card, getting to know everyone's strengths and weaknesses.

The final version will still be shown off here before you get the product.

All the ship art will also be shown off in these updates, including art that we have not yet shown.

There will also be a blog post on the other 3 factions, including there ship cards and art. This will be the last blog post in the line up this week.

Backer Kit

The closure of Backerkit is being postponed for now, as many have requested. It will remain open until at least the end of the month. An exact date for this will be announced soon. As always, if you have any questions or concerns about backerkit please email us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

If you have emailed us and not gotten a response feel free to re message as it may have been missed.

Tabletop simulator

The tabletop simulator port for Leviathans is being worked on right now. A usable version of this will be available either at the end of this month or the start of January. When finished it will include every ship card that will be shown over the course of this week.

Everyone who has backed the project will have full access to it. Once everything is running smoothly we will host tabletop simulator events, the details of which will come later but will include small tournament style games as well as a play the devs events.

Campaign Box

Next week I will have a blog post talking all about the Campaign box and what can be found within. Many pictures of playesting material will be included.

Internal playtesting on this is almost complete and will be going to wider playtesting in a couple weeks.

Shipping date

As of this moment the planned shipping date of September has not changed. Things are still progressing well and the timeline for manufacturing is still on track.

We will update if anything changes on this.

Some Pledge Manager Questions, Maps and the Russian Fleet

Quick one this week.

Just wanted to go over some questions that have been asked since the manager opened to clear up any confusion. 

Novik and Berkut

The Russian destroyer in the fleet box has changed from the Novik to the Berkut. Sorry for the confusion on this but the pledge manager is correct on this, not the images from the Kickstarter. The change was made for balance reasons. 

We also will have a complete set of new versions of those faction images next week with the new ships that have been made sense then.

Free Ships Cards

Many have noticed that the free ship card pack in update 12 is not on the pledge manager. This was missed on our end and will be taken care of at a later point. Sorry about that but we promise you will get your free ship cards with the rest of your product.

Removing items

If you wish to change out items you have for different ones, simply email us the request and we will take care of that for you. For instance if you don't want the map pack as you are getting all neoprene, we can go in and remove the map pack from your pledge. 

Hope that clears some things up.

The Pledge Manager is live!

The Pledge Manager is now live!

Took a little longer then I had wanted but with the Essen trip between here and there (which was great for Leviathans and I will share more about next week) more time was needed. But we are here now. The surveys for the pledge manager will be going out to everyone today so make sure you look out for that in your inbox. If you do not get an email in the next 24 hours please reach out to us so we can get that checked for you.

Also want to quickly thank everyone in the smoke screen for providing feedback and helping us make the experience as easy and smooth as possible. This was extremely helpful.

The following are some important things to note about the pledge manager

Pledge level versus Add-ons

When you enter the survey, you will first deal with all the items that are included in your original pledge. Many of these items will ask you which versions of an item you want. So a cruiser pack question will ask you which cruiser you want. This Survey will walk you carefully through this process. 

After this you will be directed to an add-ons section where you can select things not included in your original pledge from the Kickstarter. You can add as little or as much as you want here. Anything you included as an add on during the Kickstarter will already been in this section.

Additional Pledge Level

If people wish for an addition pledge level, email us directly and we will make that happen for you as this can not be done through the backer kit system directly. We will fill out an additional pledge with you and then you will take it over from there after the initial form is set up.

Missing art

As was true from the Kickstarter, not every ship has been created and not every ship card is available. We will keep working on this and as things progress and are finished they will be added. However, this does mean that certain ships as well as the maps do not have any art connected to them. We will let you know  when those are added and we will also share them here. We simple ask for patience on some of these missing pieces for the time being.

Every ship will have art and all of its ship cards to look at before the Pledge manager closes.

Fiction

All of the fiction that was promised with the Kickstarter will be acquired through backer kit. This means that the Novella "Miracle de la Tactique" is  available for those that have purchased already.  As fiction is finished it will be accessible from the same location.

The Italian and Russians Unique ships

As was requested, and as a reward for the amazing support getting us this far,  we have gone ahead and unlocked the final two stretch goals in the campaign. This mean both the Italians and Russians have their own Unique paint scheme cruiser.

For the Italians we have Camilla Romano leading her own cruiser.

The Russian Cruiser is the special vessel of Anastasia Romanov herself.

As with others, more details for this ships will come later.

Smoke Screen Test

Hello Captains,

Backerkit

We had a couple delays on backerkit but those have all been dealt with. The smoke screen test will now go out today. As mentioned before, this will involve about 5% of backers in order to test the system and check for any issues before going out to everyone.

For those that will be involved in this test, please email us any questions at [email protected]. Again, this test and your questions will be extremely helpful in preparation for the main Backerkit opening.

Other Things

On the TableTop Simulator front, we are in contact with a professional TTS creator (which I did not know was a thing until a couple weeks ago) and we will work with them to make sure TTS gets done within the time frames we are going for. Further details on this to come.

We are also getting in art for the new maps. They are not ready to be shared but they are looking great so far and I hope to show some of them in the next couple weeks.

BackerKit update: Almost there

Quick update this week on the Pledge Manager:

The Pledge Manager is going through its last reviews and tests this week: checking pricing, verifying that the right items are with the right images, and so on. Both Catalyst and Backerkit are doing this to make sure everything is in the right place.

After we finish these checks on our end, we will do a smoke screen test, which involves us sending out the surveys to a small group of backers to verify that everything works and to fix any issues. This test should happen early next week, most likely on Tuesday. The people will be completely random, but every pledge level will be involved. An update will go out when this happens, and we will ask people who are in the test to try to get their feedback as soon as possible so we can move on to the last step.

After that is finished and the last tweaks are made, it will finally go out to all the backers. It will also be available for people that didn't back that want to still get in on the Kickstarter as a late backer.

The surveys have instructions, but we will also provide a step by step “how to” here for everyone.

That's it for the pledge manager. Nothing else to report on this week, but I do have a sketch of a ship to show off.

Italian Cruiser: Gloria

The final version will have shorter guns to allow for proper turret rotation, but overall this ship is a great addition to the Italian Leviathan family.
